Uganda Wildlife Authority permits and park entries are published rates and we pass them through at cost. Everything else — vehicle, guide, fuel, lodges, meals, transfers — is our land price, quoted per person sharing and fixed in your currency once the deposit is paid.
Land only. Rates fall as the party grows because the vehicle and the guide are the same cost whether two people or six are in them.
These are Uganda Wildlife Authority rates for foreign non-residents, valid to the end of the current tariff period. We add nothing to them and we show you the receipt.
The second column is the one worth reading. Nothing on it appears as a surprise line on a final invoice.
Published in full because the permit rules are unusual and nobody should meet them for the first time on an invoice.
Thirty per cent of the land price secures the vehicle, guide and lodges. The permit portion is payable in full at the same moment because UWA issues, rather than reserves, on payment.
Due sixty days before arrival. Bookings made inside sixty days are payable in full at confirmation. We invoice in US dollars and accept transfer, card with a 3.2% fee, or mobile money in country.
More than sixty days: deposit retained, permits non-refundable. Thirty to sixty days: fifty per cent. Inside thirty days: full price. This mirrors what the lodges charge us.
We will move a booking once at no fee if you tell us more than sixty days out and the new dates are within twelve months. Permits cannot move; a new permit must be bought.
UWA refunds part of a gorilla permit if the family is not found, which is rare. We hand the refund on in full and add the day back to your itinerary where the routing allows.
Quotes hold for fourteen days. Once the deposit is paid the land price is fixed, including against fuel movement. Government fee changes are passed through at cost, up or down.
Send your dates and party size and you will get a line-by-line cost: land price per person, permits at the government rate, park fees per park, and the single supplement if one applies.
